how to quit smoking aka the talk (part II)


  • It will take a 7 day cigarette fast to quit
  • Cravings will peak on the 4th or 5th day and then the worst is over
  • On day 7 you will look at a cigarette the majority of the time and not feel a craving at all. All cravings will disappear soon after
  • It will require one week of willpower. Who is stronger? You or Mr. Cigarette??
  • Carry a bottle of water around 24/7. Every time you feel the need to smoke sip the bottle. Just the motion of sipping, being almost identical to the motion of smoking, will do most of the trick
  • In addition to the water bottle trick, if necessary, you can add deep breathing for 30 seconds. The deep inhales and exhales also mimic the effect of smoking - without the deadly cigarette bit
  • Remember over a single cigarette contains over 4000 chemicals including 43 known carcinogenic compounds and 400 other toxins. Nice to say goodbye to that, no?
  • Do it! Seven days and you're done with smoking!
